01Who is responsible?

02The website you are visiting

This website introduces an iPhone app in preparation. It offers no account creation, signup form, payments or photo uploads. Previews contain demonstration data, not users’ information.

We have not added targeted advertising, advertising pixels or audience analytics. Images, scripts and styles are served with the website. Your language is represented in the page URL, without a preference cookie.

03Browsing and hosting

Vercel hosts this website. Delivering pages and preventing abuse requires technical information, including the IP address, requested URL, request time and browser details. Our legitimate interest is to provide a working, secure website. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.

Any technical security mechanisms operated by the host are not marketing trackers added by Plantzen. For Vercel’s processing and international infrastructure, see its privacy notice.

04When you contact us

We receive your email address and the information you send to answer your request, provide support or handle a privacy right. Depending on the request, this relies on pre-contractual or contractual communication, our legitimate interest in responding, or a legal obligation.

Do not send passwords, API keys, unsolicited identity documents or unnecessary sensitive information. An email link opens your email application; no message is sent automatically.

05The app in preparation

The app is not publicly distributed yet. The following describes processing integrated into development and private testing. It does not mean that every service is already activated for the public. We will update this information before opening the app, including production settings and technical retention periods.

• Account: identifier, email or information provided through Sign in with Apple, profile and preferences, to authenticate and synchronise your garden.
• Garden and follow-ups: plants, declared surroundings, chosen photos, notes, care, measurements, scans and projects, to provide the functions you request.
• Analysis: necessary photos and context are sent to Kindwise when you start an identification or health analysis.
• Companion: when enabled, your question and relevant context for the selected plant are sent to OpenAI. The interface must inform you before use.
• Subscriptions: Apple processes payment; RevenueCat and our server verify transactions and account entitlements. Plantzen does not receive your card number.
• Reminders: preferences, time zone and technical device information support scheduling; remote notifications depend on activation and your iOS permission.

Accounts and requested services rely on performance of the service contract; optional permissions and choices are requested at the relevant time. Plantzen does not sell this data or use it for targeted advertising.

06Services involved

Only services necessary for a particular action receive the relevant information. Providers used or planned include:

• Vercel: hosting this website.
• Supabase: app authentication and private storage; the development environment is in Ireland.
• Resend: sign-in emails.
• Kindwise: identification and health analysis of submitted photos.
• OpenAI: companion responses when enabled.
• Apple and RevenueCat: Apple identity, distribution, purchases and subscription entitlements, depending on the feature.

Some providers may process data outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area, including in the United States. European storage does not mean that every provider’s operations stay in Europe. Contractual safeguards, countries and retention for the public app configuration must be settled before it opens. You may request information about transfers involving us at hello@getplantzen.com.

07Retention and deletion

Support correspondence is kept to handle the request and necessary follow-up, then deleted or archived where evidence is needed for an obligation or dispute. Website technical data follows the host’s security functions and retention rules; we do not create a separate audience database.

In private app testing, garden data is retained for the account until it or the account is deleted. New companion questions and answers are saved automatically in your account until you delete them or your account. You can delete each exchange from the companion. Older requests started without retention keep their original rule: removal on closure and server cleanup after 24 hours, running every 15 minutes. These rules do not promise that the AI provider retains no data.

Deletion from active systems, provider artefacts and backups uses separate mechanisms. Exact log, backup and temporary-file retention periods for the public release remain to be finalised before distribution; they are not presented here as already validated.

08Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or portability, object to certain processing or request restrictions. Consent may be withdrawn without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Contact hello@getplantzen.com with your request; we will ask only for information needed to verify your identity.

You may complain to a competent authority, including the FDPIC in Switzerland or an authority in your EU country of residence, such as the CNIL in France.

In-app export and deletion of exchanges or your account provide additional controls. Deleting your account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription.

09Security and changes

We limit access to service needs and separate account data. No system is infallible; contact us to report a problem. The date at the top identifies the current version. We will update this policy for relevant changes and provide required information before any new collection.
